Every spring, the EFM heralds the year’s business trends and international market shares, owing to its strong connection to the Berlinale. Prestigious producers, distributors, and agents flock to the EFM by the thousand for networking and business opportunities. To strengthen Taiwan’s bond with the international film industry, TAICCA introduced the "Taiwan's International Co-funding Program" at Berlinale Co-Production Market’s Country Session, supported Taiwanese producers to join the Visitors Programme, showcased 3 distinguished projects at the TAIWAN SPOTLIGHT Pitching Session, and curated the best fresh films from Taiwan at TAIWAN PAVILION to share with professionals worldwide. 

Festival veteran Tsai Ming-Liang scored two official selections with his latest documentary Abiding Nowhere in Berlinale Special and The Wayward Cloud at Berlinale Classics Special. Apart from the screenings, Tsai will conduct a masterclass, hosted by TAICCA, entitled ‘Tsai Ming-Liang - A Long March from Cinema to Art Scenes’ on February 16th.
