The Toronto International Film Festival, commonly known as TIFF, takes place every September alongside TIFF Industry, placing it at the forefront of global cinema. With its role in hosting world premieres and nurturing industry connections, TIFF provides a vibrant platform for filmmakers, industry professionals, and cinephiles to celebrate and delve into the art and business of filmmaking. In 2026, TIFF Industry is set to be officially upgraded to a content market. This expansion will include new sections on future-focused programming, technology integration, IP commercialization, content financing and co-pro meetings.

In 2024, two Taiwan films supported by TAICCA have made a strong presence. Dead Talents Society in Midnight Madness, and Daughter's Daughter, competing in Platform, both received enthusiastic responses during their screenings. Dead Talents Society secured first runner-up for People’s Choice Award in Midnight Madness, while Daughter's Daughter received an honorable mention for its outstanding performance by producer and lead actress Sylvia Chang.

TAICCA held a MEET & GREET session for Taiwanese filmmakers during the festival to further engage with international delegations and industry professionals at TIFF. Cast and crew from Daughter’s Daughter (director Huang Xi, producer/cast Sylvia Chang, and Eugenie Liu) and Dead Talents Society (director John Hsu and cast Gingle Wang) unveiled their creative journeys and future plans with international industry professionals.

Taiwan’s official submission for Best International Feature at the Oscars, The Old Fox, along with two Oscar-eligible animated short films, Ghost of the Dark Path and Compound Eyes of Tropical, held market screenings and Q&A sessions. Directors Fish Wang (Ghost of the Dark Path) and Zhang Xu Zhan (Compound Eyes of Tropical) attended the screening and networking event to engage with international filmmakers.
