Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) in Busan, Korea today (August 11th) announces its selections for Asian Project Market (APM) 2022. Official selection includes Beyond the Frame by director I-Hui LEE from Taiwan. Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) also announces a new collaboration with ACFM to offer “TAICCA Award”. The TAICCA Award supports and encourages outstanding projects, and welcomes international filmmakers to work with Taiwan.

Asian Contents & Film Market is returning physically after three years of COVID-19 this October.

“TAICCA collaborates with leading international festivals and markets”, says CEO Izero LEE, “(We hope) to expand connections with global production pipelines and networks.” It’s the first time for TAICCA to offer an award at international project markets to facilitate more co-funding and co-production titles with Taiwan. “We are delighted to strengthen the partnership with TAICCA this year”, says ACFM Director OH Seok Geun. “Through the cooperation between the two organizations, we look forward to continuing to discover and support promising content in Asia.”

TAICCA Award will commit a US$10,000 cash prize to the winner. If the awarded project meets criteria for TAICCA’s Taiwan International Co-Funding Program (TICP), it may further receive up to US$300,000 investments.

The selected project Beyond the Frame is produced by Serendipity Films and directed by I-Hui LEE. It’s a psychological thriller about how relationships collapse after traumas happen to a newlywed couple. Along with 28 other projects from around the world, it will be presented to potential investors and co-production partners at APM this October. This year, TAICCA will host the physical Taiwan Pavilion at ACFM, and participate in Busan Story Market (formerly E-IP) as the event’s official partner. A delegation of Taiwanese IP creators and agencies will attend its pitching and matchmaking sessions.
