ASUS pioneers cross-domain investment with TAICCA to propel Taiwan's ACG content production.
ASUS today announced the formalization of the ROG SAGA IP Investment Memorandum of Understanding in collaboration with the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA). This strategic partnership marks an investment in world-class intellectual property and is a groundbreaking venture into the creative content industry, leveraging ROG SAGA, a universe created by the globally acclaimed Republic of Gamers (ROG), a gaming sub-brand of ASUS, to shape the future of ACG (Anime, Comics, and Games) content production in Taiwan.
ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu expressed the company's commitment to innovation and breakthroughs, stating, "ROG SAGA represents ASUS's inaugural leap into digital content production and is a pioneering world-class intellectual property project promoted by Taiwan's technology industry, signaling a significant milestone. Through our collaboration with TAICCA, we aim to amplify the presence of ROG SAGA on the global stage, actively pursue international production partnerships, and attract investment from cultural and creative funds, thereby advancing Taiwan's content and creative industries."
The Chairperson of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), Homme Tsai, emphasized that Taiwan's technology industry holds a leading position globally. He commended ASUS, a trailblazing force in the technology sector, for spearheading a groundbreaking cross-domain investment project in collaboration with TAICCA. With the recent announcement by the Ministry of Culture regarding the "T-Comics – Directions for Production of Taiwanese Comics Series" in the “1 plus 4 T content Plan”, TAICCA aims to leverage Taiwan's robust and powerful technology industry along with the rich and diverse cultural content of Taiwan. The ultimate goal is to elevate Taiwan's Animation, Comics, and Games (ACG) content industry to its full potential, accumulating international experience from story development, comic creation, animation, game production, and conquering new frontiers in the global market.
