2025 Innovative Co-production Program: 360 Immersive Exhibition

【Foreword】
With a vision of developing a feasible Business model for immersive performances, TAICCA collaborates with OASIS Immersive Studios Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Oasis Immersion”) and its Oasis Immersion on the “2025 Innovative Co-production Program: 360 Immersive Exhibition” with joint resources to support Taiwanese creative teams in producing profitable cultural technology content that can be showcased in Oasis Immersion for proofing and broadening the international market and develop a sustainable business model.
【About the Partner】
OASIS Immersion is the largest immersive exhibition space in Canada, located at the conveniently accessible Montreal Convention Center (Palais des congrès de Montréal). Spanning 2,200 square meters, it has become the city’s third most visited cultural destination since its opening in 2021. The venue features three immersive galleries and six experience zones, delivering a rich multi-sensory journey powered by 107 laser projectors and 130 high-performance speakers. Leveraging a strong international partnership network, OASIS Immersion serves as a premier distribution platform for immersive content.
【Eligible projects】
The program features two submission categories:
- “The Family-Friendly Co-Production Exhibition”category
A Taiwan-based team will be selected to co-produce an original family-friendly immersive exhibition with the Partner. The applicant will serve as the lead animation team, responsible for narrative enhancement, focusing on compelling storytelling, as well as the integration of 3D visuals, music, and character development. The team will also integrate real-time interactive components to create a well-structured and emotionally engaging immersive experience. The duration of the work is 50-60 minutes. - “Taiwanese Original Content Exhibition”category
A Taiwanese original proposal will be selected and adapted into a 360-degree fully immersive interactive experience. The work should make use of the characteristics of deambulatory immersion to create a deep experience grounded in core wellness principles. The duration of the work shall be between 18 and 22 minutes.
【Project requirements】
- The proposal shall include: a description of the theme, creative motivation, and production specifications, along with a 3 to 5-minute English video explaining the concept, production intent, and technical details of the project.
- The proposal for “The Family-Friendly Co-Production Exhibition” must include a comprehensive introduction to the team, detailing their creative and production experience, as well as familiarity with various production tools.
- The proposal for the “Taiwanese Original Content Exhibition” should make use of the characteristics of deambulatory immersion to create a deep experience grounded in core wellness principles, with no restrictions on subject matter. However, proposals that incorporate Taiwanese elements, whether in theme or production, will be given preference.
- Business Model Plan: Applicants must propose a business model plan for the showcase content, which should at least include market analysis, selling point, target audience and marketing plan etc.
- Introduction of the Production Team: The introduction shall include the following points of the production team: Past experiences and achievements of the proposing team and co-production team (if any); and describe the tasks and contents that each team is responsible for respectively.
- Production schedule planning: The project schedule can include the completed progress of the proposed work, as well as milestones, work tasks and deliverables of future planning.
- Budget and Funding plan: This list should specify all the expenses and how many percent of funding is in place. Please clearly indicate the source of self-financing.
- International distribution plan: Should explain details such as the exhibition or performance plan, platform launch or channel promotion plan, and provide a description of the strategy adopted and implementation method.
- Proposals with existing international partners in collaboration are preferred, and the collaboration is not limited to co-funding or co-production.
- The proposal should be submitted in both Chinese and English respectively, with each version not exceeding 40 pages.
【Eligibility of applicants】
- Companies, sole proprietorships / partnerships, or profit-making entities that are registered under Company Act and Business Registration Act of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) laws.
- The applicant must comply with the provisions of Article 5 Paragraph 1 of the Program and must not have any of the relevant circumstances described in Article 5, Paragraph 2.
- Only one proposal per program is allowed, and each applicant (i.e., the same entity) can be selected for only one project in total.
【Grant and resources】
- The Family-Friendly Co-Production Exhibition
- Grant limit: One project will receive a grant of NT$6,000,000 (including tax, approximately CAD 260,869). The actual amount will be approved by the Review Panel and announced officially by TAICCA.
- Applicants must provide part of their own funding based on the scale of their proposals. There is no maximum limit on the proportion of the supporting funds, but the amount of self-provided funds must not be less than NT$3,000,000 (including tax, approximately CAD 130,434) .
- Taiwanese Original Content Exhibition
- Grant limit: One project will receive a grant of NT$3,000,000 (including tax, approximately CAD 130,434) . The actual amount will be approved by the Review Panel and announced officially by TAICCA.
- Applicants must provide part of their own funding based on the scale of their proposals. There is no maximum limit on the proportion of the supporting funds, but the amount of self-provided funds must not be less than NT$1,500,000 (including tax, approximately CAD 65,217 ) .
- Resources provided by international partners include support for venue, equipment, technical services, ticketing system, on-site operational staff, marketing and promotion, and other related needs.
【Revenue Sharing】
- The Family-Friendly Co-Production Exhibition
- During the official exhibition period and within three months from the premiere date, the gross licensing revenue shall be distributed as follows: 10% to TAICCA, 80% to the Partner, and 10% to the Approved Applicant.
- From three months after the premiere until one year after the premiere, the total gross revenue shall be distributed as follows: 90% to the Partner and 10% to the Approved Applicant. After one year from the premiere date, the Approved Applicant shall retain 10% of the economic rights and will be entitled to a corresponding share of the total global licensing revenues generated by the exhibition.
- Taiwanese Original Content Exhibition
- During the official exhibition period and within three months from the premiere date, the gross licensing revenue shall be distributed as follows: 10% to TAICCA, 80% to the Partner, and 10% to the Approved Applicant.
- From three months after the premiere until one year after the premiere, the total gross revenue shall be distributed as follows: 90% to the Partner and 10% to the Approved Applicant. After one year from the premiere date, any subsequent licensing and revenue sharing shall be negotiated separately between the Approved Applicant and the Partner, based on joint ownership of the intellectual property.
- The net merchandise sales revenue shall be distributed based on the total net sales amount as follows: 70% to the Partner, 20% to the Approved Applicant and 10% to TAICCA.
【Notification】
- The approved applicant must finish the production of the full proposal plan and launch the showcase / exhibition before December 31, 2025. They shall submit the files for project closure before January 31, 2026, including the production records file of final work and the finance report.
- The formal exhibition and public ticketing period for “The Family-Friendly Co-Production Exhibition” must be completed by November 30, 2026. The operational period is expected to last for at least 3 months.
- The formal exhibition and public ticketing period for “Taiwanese Original Content Exhibition" must be completed by June 30, 2027. The operational period is expected to last for at least 45 days.
- The actual schedule and sessions subject to the partner’s announcement.
- The Approved Applicants should submit a project results report (including business model verification results) to TAICCA within two months after the conclusion of the official operation period. If the report is not submitted within the specified period, TAICCA reserves the right to reclaim the disbursed second installment and suspend the applicant.
- The approved applicant will be required to visit OASIS Immersion for a one-week pre-production trip in July 2025, or at another time designated by TAICCA, to participate in site inspections, meetings, and other preparatory activities. Specific dates and itinerary details will be provided along with the selection notification.
【How to apply】
- Application Period: From now until May 27, 2025, 17:00 (GMT+8, Taiwan Time). (Submission time will be based on the timestamp recorded by the online application system.)
- Application Method: Please register on the online application system and complete the application form. All required documents must be uploaded within the designated period.
- Announcement of Results (Tentative): The final approval list will be announced in June 2025.
